Sometimes things happen in life just to remind me that nothing is ever stable.  Someone's health, your job, your plans.  Things happen and everything changes.  You change, and then you have to adjust.  It's times like these when I have to believe that everything happens for a reason.  I'm just not quite sure why THIS happened yet.  But here is what I do know:

I know that I am incredibly lucky and thankful that her injury wasn't worse
I know that we will get through this L O N G process and that we as a family will be better because of it
I know that I will remind myself to let the people I love, know how much I love them on a daily basis
I know that I will work on my patience.

Take the time to notice the little things that are truly beautiful in your life.

Pretty sure I won't get any sleep tonight.  It seems to be one of those days....when I feel like my day is JUST about to start at 11 PM.

So long Papa Fish...

"Some teams have instincts derived from animals, but I have never been prouder to be a fan of a team that had the backbone of a Fish..."

Nothing ever stays the same, and yet you still have to keep on moving.

I will not vote for...

"I will not vote for a candidate who thinks you can ‘pray away the gay,’ I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that he has more rights to my uterus than I do, I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that it’s okay to dump toxic waste in the ocean. I’m afraid for our country that people like this (current Republican candidates) could even be thought of as the president. I live in a country where I believe all men are created equal, not just wealthy white guys. I believe all men, all women, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, you deserve the same rights. If that’s not where our country is going, then I’ll leave. I don’t need to live here. I’m out! I’ll go to Canada, peace! See you later."
                                                                                                                 -Sophia Bush

Okay, maybe I won't move to Canada (we all know i'd move to Switzerland) but basically I read this and really, really liked it.

And the truth is we won't ever be the same.  Whatever this was, whatever we were has changed.  You're different.  And to be honest, I don't really like you.  You try to damn hard.
